Ministry of Outreach
The development of resources and connections for parishioners in times of crisis and need, as well as during times of peacefulness. Evangelizing those who feel alienated from the church. To be advocates for those marginalized while assisting them in gaining needed skills and avenues of communication in order to access basic life necessities.
Pastoral Care Team
Our pastoral care team provides many services to our parish and surrounding community. The goal is to help those isolated from the parish community to be a part of the parish through individual attentions. Different ways that the team assists those in need are visiting the sick and housebound and providing food and emergency assistance, coordinating the Giving tree at Christmas, prayer support, and many other arenas yet to be discovered. If you are interested in assisting in this ministry, training will be provided in all necessary areas. All you need is a sincere desire to minister to God’s people, patience, a sense of humor, and the ability to be non-judgmental. For more information, please call Margo Isenberg at 797-2533 ext. 225.
Stephen Ministry
What is Stephen Ministry?
Our Stephen Ministry equips lay people to provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to individuals in our congregation and community who are experiencing difficulties in their lives.
Stephen Ministry Multiplies Ministry
Many gifted individuals are needed on the front lines of care, especially during times of crisis. Stephen Ministry provides a biblical solution equipping God’s people for ministry. Gifted lay people are trained to support and extend the care that pastors continue to provide. Stephen ministers reach out with God’s love to people who are hurting-both members and non-members alike.
Stephen Ministers care for people facing tough times
We all experience challenges in life - times when we could benefit from the support of a caring Christian friend. Stephen ministers are ready to provide the emotional and spiritual care we need when faced with a crisis or difficulty, such as; Loss of a loved one, Hospitalization, Divorce or separation, Loneliness or discouragement, Spiritual crises, Unemployment or a job crisis, a terminal illness, Incarceration, Aging, Birth, adoption, miscarriage, or infertility, a chronic illness, Relocation, Recovery after an accident or disaster, and many more. Stephen ministry is a confidential ministry; the identity of those receiving care and what takes place in each caring relationship remains private. For more information, please contact Margo Isenberg at ext. 225 or Tom Cowan at ext. 503.
Small Faith Communities
Small faith communities are groups of 8 -12 adults gathered weekly or monthly to share their faith and support one another. Time is spent in scripture study, reflection, commitment to action, and fellowship. Groups meet throughout Yucaipa/Calimesa with varying days and times. We have small groups for people of all different backgrounds. You are welcome to join at anytime. If you are interested in being involved in this process for just eight weeks, contact Margo Isenberg at ext. 225 or misenberg@sfxc.org.
Bereavement Team / Grief Support Team
This is a great ministry for those who are home during the day. Our pastoral care team is in need of people to assist families who are grieving. This can involve helping with the mass, assisting with receptions when needed, preparing food for families or other needed areas. Please contact Margo Isenberg at ext. 225 or misenberg@sfxc.org for details.
NEW Health Ministry
We are restarting the Parish Health Ministry at St. Frances X. Cabrini Parish. The Parish Health Ministry is a holistic ministry. The physical, mental, and spiritual dimensions of the individual and family are considered. The ministry focuses on preventive/educational health related programs. Healthy bodies, minds, and souls help us to be all that God intended for us to be. We must care for each other in all these areas. The Parish Health Ministry will address issues of interest to parishioners across the age spectrum and will partner with other ministries within the parish. Anyone interested in health is welcome. For questions please contact Margo at ext. 225 or Nancy Chlebnik @ (909) 795 - 4752 or by e-mail at nschlebnik@msn.com.

Senior Adult Ministry
Senior Adult Ministry means many different things to many different people; bingo, brownies and bus trips; fellowship and retreat opportunities. Senior Adult Ministry is the creation and execution of spiritual development activities, opportunities, and exercises all designed to enrich the connection of the Senior Adult with God.
Such opportunities must be personal, practical, and relevant if they are to be maximally effective with Senior Adults. Senior Adult Ministry needs to be directed to the person of the Senior. We must deal with the issues of everyday life, for it is here in the folds of our daily rituals, or common schedules, our everyday interactions where we find the residence of God. This is particularly true of Senior Adults.
Senior Adult Ministry must deal with:
- The personal service issues of care and compassion.
- The social issues of peace and justice.
- The spiritual issues of prayer, good will, wholeness, virtue expression, altruism and soul development.
Spiritual and faith development is life-long; it does not end at any particular age or life stage. Please contact Margo at ext. 225 or misenberg@sfxc.org for further details.
